When The Lord Makes Your Little Girl Dreams Come True...

I had always loved those unusual shaped windows in a home!
In the movie Pollyanna the elderly man showed the kids how the crystals from the chandelier sparkled against the walls .
The Lord Blessed Me with not one, but three fireplaces and a lovely family to gather around them.

We put the water garden in last year and added new stones this year. Along came Jeremiah the bullfrog to keep the fish company. The water lily has bloomed three times already.

I was blessed with a Japanese Lilac at the base of the lamp post.
The hydrangea was here when I bought the home.

Our property is 12,800 square feet allowing us plenty of room for a water garden, pool, and shed. Lots of room in the front too.
Floating aimlessly on the water in my own pool, in my own backyard!

Yes, the Lord  has blessed me with all those things that I had dreamed of as a little girl growing up in Alpha, New Jersey.  He brought me to this lovely community of Lake Wynonah, Pennsylvania. Lake Wynonah is a private gated community with two gorgeous lakes and many other amenities; community pool, tennis court, two basketball courts, several pavilions and picnic areas, a lodge with a restaurant and bar, and many service and social clubs.

My home has many other features that I absolutely adore and enjoy.  There is a huge window in the living room with the most awesome views of the sun setting in the west.

There is a shelf under that window and another over the sliding glass doors that lead to the deck. The deck offers so much to enjoy; nature and comfort.

Our home has 1988 square feet of living space.

I always wanted a home with a red door and it was the first thing that I had noticed
when the realtor brought me to the home to see it.

Who wouldn't love a bedroom that is 11'X17', just another great blessing in my home!

And every family dreams of having two full bathrooms! The lower level full bath adjoins the lower level guest room, and

has an extra wide door made especially for one of the former owners who was confined to a wheel chair.

In 1963 when I was 12 years old my parents looked at a model home that was a split level with the same type foyer and stairs as my home that lead down to a family room. I always wanted a family room from that day forward. Now I have my family room for throwing parties, watching movies, or playing ping pong.
I always loved windows with shutters too!

In 1993 when my husband Roger and I were married I had this Bible verse read during the ceremony, Jeremiah 29:11

I want to thank the Lord for all these blessings and making my little girl dreams come true. What makes it all so special is the fact that I am sharing these blessings with my husband,  my two daughters and my grandchildren.

In The Good Ole Summertime~Our Home~Lake Wynonah, PA

"I want to encourage homemakers of all ages to turn their hearts back home and create a warm and cozy nest for their loved ones. We can't control what happens in the world, but we can do a lot of things to make sure our home is safe, secure and filled with comfort, joy and love. It's all about blessing those who are dear to our hearts!" Aunt Ruthie ~ Sugar Pie Farmhouse

"The first key to a warm and wonderful home starts inside your heart. Discontentment steals our joy. So does complaining about our circumstances ( if we complain out loud so will our kids). We all have goals, desires and things we are hoping for in regards to our home and family but in the meantime we must find contentment in the blessings that God has given us." Aunt Ruthie ~ Sugar Pie Farmhouse

"Some of the best memories are made in your own backyard." Diane Dunwell-Hoffman

Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life! ~Albert Einstein

“I am conscious of a soul-sense that lifts me above the narrow, cramping circumstances of my life. My physical limitations are forgotten- my world lies upward, the length and the breadth and the sweep of the heavens are mine!”
― Helen Keller,
